Artist Ashleigh Walters delights in elevating objects and landscapes that tell a story. Ashleigh is a painter, maker, and manipulator of oddly-scaled objects who lives in South Florida. Having spent her professional career as both a journalist and artist, Ashleigh has found what can be viewed as ordinary or comforting to one person can be seen as exotic or unusual to another: the labels on jars, the signs on buildings, the style of a season’s designer shoe.

At the University of Colorado at Boulder, Ashleigh received a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Painting, a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast News Journalism, and a Minor in Business Administration. She has been fortunate to live in the intriguing landscapes of Los Angeles, Denver, and South Carolina before arriving in Florida.
